The Kobra 3 automates most of its own calibration, but that doesn’t mean every problem calls for the same routine. Match the symptom to the right check instead of running everything at once.
LeviQ 3.0 handles bed leveling and Z-offset together in one automatic pass, and on a plate with several objects it can level by zone and skip one that’s already failed. Follow Anycubic’s leveling guide and run the routine after moving the printer, swapping the plate, replacing the nozzle, or when the first layer looks uneven and cleaning hasn’t fixed it. Both surfaces need to be free of plastic residue; even a small blob can throw off the reading.
One-click resonance and vibration compensation is a separate routine. Run it after relocating the printer, or after service work on the gantry or belts. It corrects for ringing and wall artifacts from the machine’s own motion, not for a bad first layer.
Flow calibration, which covers pressure advance, controls how much material the printer pushes through the nozzle. Run it per filament when a spool consistently prints over- or under-extruded walls, rather than after every small defect. Keep the filament dry and at the right temperature while testing.
Change one thing at a time. If a single spool causes rough walls, calibrate flow for that filament and leave the rest alone. If every filament shows the same defect, check the plate and the LeviQ 3.0 leveling instead.
Name custom filament profiles with the brand, material and nozzle size. It’s a small habit, but it stops a good calibration from getting applied to the wrong spool later.
