Trust and transparency
Our goal is to help readers understand a problem well enough to make a controlled, safe decision.
Content standards
Guides should identify observable symptoms, rank likely causes, put low-risk checks before intrusive work and explain what would make a recommendation unsuitable. Numerical settings are starting ranges, never universal guarantees.
Sources and manufacturer guidance
Printer manuals, material documentation and component safety instructions take priority over general advice. We link to public primary documentation when a claim depends on a specific product or policy.
AI assistance
AI tools may assist with outlines, drafts, consistency checks and editing. We do not describe AI output as personal experience or hands-on testing. Pages should not invent authors, test results, quotations, credentials or product endorsements.
Corrections
Material errors should be corrected promptly. Significant changes may be noted on the affected page. Readers can submit a correction through the contact page.
Commercial independence
Advertising does not determine conclusions, rankings or troubleshooting steps. Paid placements, sponsorships and affiliate relationships must be clearly identified. See the advertising disclosure.
