The SV08’s maintenance list is mostly already written out, just not in schedule form. Sovol’s wiki carries a set of dedicated video tutorials, one each for AB axis belt replacement and adjustment, Z axis belt replacement and adjustment, nozzle cleaning, hot bed assembly and replacement, and Z axis motor replacement. That list itself is the clearest signal of what wears on this design and what is worth checking periodically, even without a published interval attached to any single item.
The reason those five topics matter comes down to the mechanical layout underneath. This is a CoreXY flying gantry, a Voron V2.4 derivative, so motion depends on the AB axis belts holding proper tension, and the bed’s Z axis runs on four separate motors rather than one. Belt tension loosens gradually with use, and four Z motors instead of one simply means four places for something to drift out of sync instead of one. Neither is a flaw, they are just properties of this style of printer worth a periodic look rather than a one time setup.
Maintenance on the SV08 is not only mechanical. Firmware updates have addressed real reliability issues on this machine: version 2.5.0, from December 2025, revised the nozzle cleaning routine specifically because the previous version could damage the fixing base, and version 2.4.0, from September 2025, added the ability to resume a print after a power loss. Both are the kind of fix that changes whether a print survives a bad moment, not a cosmetic tweak. Checking for a firmware update now and then belongs on the same list as checking belts and motors rather than sitting off to the side as optional.
There is no fixed interval on record here, no every 100 hours rule that Sovol has published, so the honest approach is to use the video list as the checklist itself: belts, nozzle, bed, Z motors, and whatever the current firmware changelog covers, checked on whatever schedule matches how much the printer actually runs.
