Clean the nozzle and the plate on a routine schedule, the same baseline every Bambu printer needs. Add the X axis rods to that routine on the P2S. They are hollow steel now instead of the P1S’s carbon rods, and the smooth steel surface wipes clean with a dry cloth far more easily than carbon ever did.
Keep the heatbed silkscreen marking clean and undamaged. The live camera uses it as a reference point for automatic calibration, and the same camera runs detection for spaghetti, foreign objects, nozzle clumping, and silicone sock condition. A scratched silkscreen, or a smudged camera lens, quietly degrades all of that at once, not just one feature.
Check the activated carbon filter as part of the same schedule instead of forgetting it exists. It handles VOCs and particles while the printer runs, and like any filter it has a working life. A saturated filter stops doing its job with no obvious symptom in the print itself, so do not wait for a warning that will not come.
Do not lubricate anything beyond what Bambu names explicitly in its own maintenance instructions. Extra grease or oil on rails, rods, or the extruder does not add protection, and it can attract dust or interfere with the servo extruder’s calibrated force. Stick to what is documented and skip the rest.
If the printer makes a new mechanical noise, or the screen reports a sensor error, stop the schedule and deal with that first. Maintenance keeps a healthy machine healthy. It does not diagnose or repair a printer that is already telling you something is wrong.
When routine cleaning is not enough and the nozzle itself seems blocked, follow the dedicated clogged nozzle guide for the safe clearing sequence.
