Motion System and Axis Faults
CX2573 X-axis homing abnormality and CY2577 Y-axis homing abnormality point to the respective limit switch not triggering during homing; check whether the switch is damaged or obstructed. CZ2581 Z-axis homing abnormality usually traces back to the Z-axis sensor trigger being disrupted, often by a hot bed wire that has been pulled or is snagging. The CM prefix covers motor protection faults. CM2783 reports an obstacle detected during XY, Z, or E motor movement (an impact, jam, or tangle) and cancels or pauses the print, requiring a power cycle. CM2781 fires when an axis exceeds its motor speed limit and asks you to reduce print speed or re-slice. System, File, and AI Camera Faults
A block of XS codes (XS2000, XS2001, XS3000, XS3001, XS3002, XS2060, XS2093) all display the same generic message, System error, try restarting. Creality’s own documentation treats these as a system crash that needs a power cycle, with the only further step being to export logs and contact Creality support if the crash repeats. The AC-prefixed codes come from the AI camera.
