Troubleshooting hub
A failed print is evidence. Match what you can see to the most likely causes, then test the simplest reversible fix first.
Before changing a setting
- Let hot parts cool before touching the printer.
- Photograph the defect and note the layer where it started.
- Write down the current profile, material and temperatures.
- Change one variable, then repeat the same small test.
Start with the visible symptom
- First layer will not stick — loose lines, gaps or material following the nozzle.
- Stringing — fine hairs between separate features.
- Warping — corners curl away from the build plate.
- Under-extrusion — weak, thin or missing lines.
- Clogged nozzle — restricted or stopped filament flow.
- Layer shift — part of the model suddenly moves sideways.
Use the guided filters
The full guide library can be filtered by symptom, print stage, material and difficulty. Each guide begins with observations, not a universal setting.

When to stop
Disconnect power and follow the manufacturer’s support process if you find damaged wiring, a loose mains connection, smoke, a persistent burning smell or uncontrolled heating. Software tuning is not a safe response to an electrical fault.
