Creality K1C first print: a short, useful test

Run a Creality K1C first print with a known PLA file, verify automatic checks and inspect the first layer through the enclosure.

Choose a short PLA model supplied with the K1C. Save carbon-fiber filament for later; the printer may support abrasive material, but it adds no value to an initial machine check.

Clean and seat the flexible plate. Load filament through the guided path and use the on-screen feed command until the color and flow are steady. Remove the cooled purge strand only after the toolhead stops.

Select the sample file and keep automatic calibration enabled. Stay beside the printer while it homes and begins the first layer. Through the door, look for connected lines, clean corners and a nozzle that moves without scraping. Cancel if the plate is shifted, filament follows the nozzle in a ball or the head strikes an object.

Enclosure temperature matters even on an easy material. Follow the ventilation guidance in the selected Creality profile for PLA. A closed chamber that becomes too warm can soften filament above the melt zone and contribute to a jam.

After cooling, flex the removed sheet to release the part. Check that the bottom is continuous, vertical features are not shifted and the top is closed. Keep the successful project as a reference file.

One clean sample does not prove every high-speed setting. It does show that shipping restraints, motion, heating, loading and the basic first layer are working together.
