Remove every internal shipping restraint from the AMS. Install reusable desiccant or the supplied packs in the designated compartments, not loose among moving spools.
Connect the AMS data cable and PTFE tube to the P1S according to Bambu’s diagram. Avoid a tight bend behind the printer and make sure the top glass does not pinch the tube.
Place compatible spools in the bays and feed each clean tip until the first-stage feeder captures it. Enter material and color where RFID does not provide them. Verify the mapping in Bambu Studio before slicing a multicolor job.
Keep spool rims intact and within AMS size limits. Cardboard, flexible and abrasive materials need the current compatibility guidance. A feeder that repeatedly slips is a reason to inspect the spool and path, not to keep commanding retries.
Monitor humidity and regenerate desiccant by its instructions. The AMS protects dry filament; it is not a high-temperature dryer.
Keeping filament dry inside the AMS ties directly into the broader filament storage guide, especially for materials that absorb moisture quickly. If the printer itself is still being unpacked, finish the P1S setup steps first, then use the P1S loading and unloading guide to feed the first spools once the AMS is wired in.
