Most P1S setup mistakes happen inside the enclosure. Open the door, remove every foam block and follow the current P1S quick-start guide for the marked bed screws and AMS packing. Do not power the printer while the bed is still restrained.
Place the machine on a solid surface with room for the rear spool holder, waste chute and power cable. The door and top glass also need safe clearance. Inspect the carbon rods and belts visually, but do not wipe or lubricate parts unless the maintenance guide names them.
If the package includes an AMS, remove its internal restraints, install the desiccant as directed, connect the PTFE tube and data cable, then seat the unit where it cannot slide. Do not trap the PTFE tube under the top glass.
Install the build plate with its rear edge aligned and the correct surface facing up. Connect power, start the printer and follow the screen prompts. Bind it to Bambu Handy only if you want cloud features; local workflows remain a separate choice. Install offered firmware through the normal interface.
Run the startup calibration with the door closed and nothing touching the frame. Some noise and rapid movement are normal. Grinding, repeated impact or a cable entering the toolhead path is not. Stop the machine if anything contacts a moving part.
Keep all shipping pieces. The P1S bed must be secured correctly before future transport, and the original packing shows exactly how Bambu intended the enclosed machine to be supported.
