Write down the full on-screen prompt word for word, for example “Leveling is abnormal, please check whether the wiring of the calibration module or the X/Y coordinates are normal” or “Hotend NTC abnormal, please check it and wiring,” along with when it appeared: during auto leveling, while heating, or mid print. If the message involves the hotend or bed, note the temperature reading shown on screen too, since a 0 degree reading or one stuck in the hundreds points to a different cause than a normal reading.

The base Kobra 2 doesn’t use a numeric error code system the way the newer Kobra 3 does. It shows each fault as a plain text prompt on its touchscreen instead. Look up that exact prompt on the Kobra 2 product page at wiki.anycubic.com under fdm-3d-printer/kobra-2, not on the Kobra 2 Plus, Pro, Max, or Neo pages, since those models use a different leveling module and different hotbed hardware, and their troubleshooting steps don’t match the base Kobra 2’s LeviQ 2.0 setup.

For “leveling is abnormal,” check first whether the buttons around the calibration module press down and rebound smoothly, then run Prepare, Leveling, Module calibration, Position calibration to confirm the nozzle sits directly above the center of the module before suspecting a cable fault. For “hotend NTC abnormal” or “hotbed NTC abnormal,” check that the thermistor connector at the print head or under the bed is fully seated. A 0 degree reading or one stuck in the hundreds usually points to a loose connector rather than a failed sensor.

Don’t keep re-running auto leveling over and over without checking the calibration module wiring first. Don’t test mainboard voltage at the NTC pins with the printer open and powered unless you’re comfortable working around a live 3.3V circuit; a reading outside 3.3V plus or minus 0.3V points to the mainboard rather than the sensor, and swapping parts before confirming that reading wastes a spare. Don’t dismiss a repeated hotbed heater or NTC abnormal message as a nuisance and disable the check, since it exists to catch a genuine overheating risk.

Include the exact prompt text, confirmation that the printer is the base Kobra 2 and not a Plus, Pro, Max, or Neo variant, the firmware version, and any multimeter readings you already took.
