Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro setup: assembly and first leveling

Assemble an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro, check voltage and cable routing, set the bed hardware and run the documented leveling sequence.

The Neptune 4 Pro arrives as a base and gantry assembly. Put the base on a stable table, lower the gantry into position and start all mounting screws before tightening them evenly.

Install the touchscreen, spool holder, filament detector and rear auxiliary fan using the diagrams in the current manual linked from Elegoo’s official download center. Connect every labeled motor, sensor and display cable with power disconnected. Route the printhead cable so it cannot fall behind the bed or catch the top frame.

Set the mains-voltage selector for your region before plugging in the printer. The official product specification lists a 475 x 550 x 735 mm maximum activity envelope including the rack and moving parts, so give the bed more depth than the frame alone suggests.

Inspect the four bed wheels and springs. They should be engaged and reasonably compressed, not loose or crushed flat. Run the manual auxiliary leveling sequence at the documented points, then complete the automatic mesh. These two steps do different jobs: the wheels establish the plane, while the probe measures smaller remaining variation.

Load PLA, select the matching profile and set Z offset during a test first layer. Avoid random firmware packages. Neptune 4-series files are model-specific, and the Pro is not interchangeable with the Plus or Max.

Once cables clear the full motion range and the leveling routine completes without error, the printer is ready for a short sample.
