Ender-3 V3 SE bed leveling and Z offset

Level an Ender-3 V3 SE with CR Touch, interpret the mesh and tune Z compensation without randomly changing the bed hardware.

The V3 SE uses CR Touch for a 16-point mesh and a strain-based height check. It still needs a clean, stable machine.

With the printer cool, seat the plate against its guides and remove any plastic from the nozzle. Check that the X gantry is visibly parallel to the base and that the bed does not rock. Then select Leveling and let the full routine finish.

Print a broad single-layer pattern. If the whole plate is too high or low, adjust Z compensation in a small step while the first layer runs. If only one region is wrong, do not keep shifting the global offset. Creality lists gantry alignment, bed deformation, carriage deformation and residue as possible causes of large regional errors.

The official troubleshooting page also notes that some leveling failures were tied to firmware versions below 1.0.6. Check the installed version and use only firmware for the exact model and display combination. Never flash a similarly named Ender profile.

Stop if the nozzle contacts the plate, the probe repeats one point endlessly or mesh values exceed the normal range by a large amount. Inspect assembly and contact Creality support before following electrical disassembly advice from an unrelated model.

Once a clean test layer is even, leave the offset alone. Relevel after moving the printer, changing the hotend, disturbing the bed or seeing a repeatable change across known filament.
