This guide covers the assembled CORE One, not the kit or a conversion. Prusa maintains separate manuals for each, and mixing their steps can create unnecessary adjustments.
Keep the shipping box, then follow the assembled CORE One manual to unpack the printer. The xLCD is removed for transport and must be mounted at the specified stage. Do not improvise its cable routing.
Place the printer on a stable surface. Prusa notes that vibration from an unstable table or another running printer can interfere with self-test. Install the print sheet by aligning its rear cutout with the bed pins and lowering it without sliding it across the surface.
Update to the firmware offered on Prusa’s official CORE One support page, then follow the on-screen wizard. The assembled-machine sequence includes the loadcell test and filament-sensor calibration. Wait for the Tap nozzle NOW prompt before touching the cool nozzle from below. The preassembled version can skip gearbox alignment when the manual says so.
Set up networking only if you want it. USB remains available for local files, while Prusa Connect and PrusaLink cover different remote workflows.
Do not tighten belts or dismantle the Nextruder during ordinary setup. A finished factory-assembled machine should first be evaluated through its wizard. If self-test fails, note the exact stage and use Prusa’s model-specific diagnostic rather than changing several mechanisms at once.
