Bambu Lab A1 maintenance schedule

Maintain a Bambu Lab A1 with regular plate cleaning, debris removal, motion checks and lubrication only where Bambu specifies it.

Before each print, clear loose filament from the bed path, inspect the nozzle and check that the plate is clean and seated. The A1 throws purge pieces away from the model; do not let them collect where the moving bed can catch them.

Wash a greasy plate with warm water and plain dish soap. Hold it by the edges after drying. Check PTFE tubes for sharp bends, the spool for tangles and the toolhead cover for a secure fit.

At longer intervals, follow Bambu’s current A1 maintenance page for lead-screw cleaning and lubrication. Do not oil belts, the build surface or arbitrary bearings. Printer grease attracts dust when it is placed where it does not belong.

Rerun full calibration after moving the printer or servicing motion parts. A new grinding sound, repeated homing impact or heater warning calls for diagnosis, not more lubricant. Keep a note of service dates and print hours so wear is easier to track.
