Bambu Lab AMS lite setup for the A1

Set up AMS lite for a Bambu Lab A1, route its four PTFE tubes, map spool slots and avoid bed-travel interference.

Build the AMS lite stand on a stable surface or use Bambu’s supported top-mount arrangement. Install each spool holder and route the numbered PTFE tubes to their matching hub positions.

The tubes need smooth curves and must stay clear of the A1’s moving bed. Connect the AMS lite cable with power off, then start the printer and confirm that all four slots appear.

Load one ordinary PLA spool at a time. Push a clean tip into the inlet until the feeder captures it, then assign the correct material and color. Check that each spool rotates without rubbing another holder.

Use Bambu’s compatibility list before loading TPU, abrasive or brittle material. When a filament is not supported, use the A1’s external spool path rather than forcing it through AMS lite.

AMS lite assumes the printer itself is already set up correctly — if travel clearance or cabling is still in question, revisit the A1 setup guide first. Day-to-day loading and unloading through AMS lite follows the same care as the direct spool path covered in the A1 filament loading guide, and general filament storage habits still apply to each spool sitting on the stand.
