Creality lists Cura 5 and later as supported for the Ender-3 V3 SE. Use a built-in profile when your Cura release includes the exact model. It is safer than copying start code from an older Ender-3.
Confirm a 220 x 220 x 250 mm build volume, a 0.4 mm nozzle when stock, and a heated bed. The printer’s published limits are 260 °C at the nozzle and 100 °C at the bed, but those are machine limits, not starting temperatures. Use the filament maker’s range and a tested material preset.
Inspect the profile’s start sequence. It should home the machine and use the saved leveling behavior expected by the V3 SE firmware. Do not paste mesh commands from another printer without checking Creality’s current documentation. A command that works on a modified Marlin Ender may be ignored or behave differently here.
Slice a 20 mm cube and use Preview to check first-layer placement, travel moves and estimated speed. Save the file to the root of the storage card. Creality recommends Latin letters or numbers in short filenames and says not to remove the card while printing.
Keep the stock Cura profile untouched. Duplicate it for experiments and name the copy by nozzle and material. If a custom profile suddenly produces poor layers, comparison with the original takes seconds.
