Download Photon Workshop from Anycubic’s own site rather than a third-party mirror, and match the version to what your Mono 4’s firmware supports. Resin slicers change more often than FDM ones, so check for an update before starting a long print instead of partway through one.
On first launch, select the Photon Mono 4 from the printer list. This loads the correct build volume (153.4 x 87 x 165 mm) and the 9024 x 5120 pixel, 10K monochrome screen resolution automatically. Do not hand-edit these values. A mismatch between the profile and the real screen produces distorted or oversized layers.
Start with the resin manufacturer’s published exposure profile if one exists for the Mono 4 or a comparable 10K monochrome screen. That covers normal and bottom layer exposure time, bottom layer count, and lift and retract speeds. Treat those numbers as a starting point, not a fixed rule. Different resin colors and batches often need small adjustments.
Import the model, orient it with supports where needed, and step through the slice preview layer by layer before sending the file. Look for solid base contact, no floating islands, and drain holes on hollow parts. The preview shows the exposed area per layer, and a layer with almost no exposed area near the top of a support tree is a warning sign that the model will detach mid-print.
Save the sliced file to USB in the format the Mono 4 accepts, then check the file name and print settings on the printer’s own screen before starting. Confirm that resin type and layer height shown in the on-screen job summary match what you set in the slicer.
