Bambu Studio profile setup for the P2S

Set up printer, nozzle, and material presets in Bambu Studio for the Bambu Lab P2S, including engineering filaments and enclosure-aware settings.

Start by selecting the correct printer preset in Bambu Studio rather than reusing an old P1S profile. The P2S has its own mainboard, toolhead, and airflow system, and the preset accounts for that even though the slicer workflow looks almost identical to what P1S owners already know.

Match the nozzle diameter and material preset to what is actually installed. The stock nozzle is hardened steel, not brass, so pick the hardened steel option wherever Bambu Studio distinguishes between the two. Get this wrong and the flow calculation shifts in ways that show up as under extrusion on some materials and over extrusion on others.

The P2S’s higher extrusion force and hardened steel hotend make it genuinely capable of engineering filaments the P1S struggled with, including CF and GF blends, PA, and PC. Use the dedicated preset for each one rather than adapting a PLA or PETG profile. These materials need their own temperature, flow, and retraction settings, and generic settings tend to under deliver on anything abrasive or high temperature.

Treat enclosure settings as airflow aware, not heat aware. The P2S has no active chamber heater. Instead it switches an adaptive airflow component between internal recirculation and external suction cooling. That helps with some engineering filaments, but it is not a substitute for a heated chamber on materials that genuinely need one, so check what a filament actually requires before assuming the enclosure alone will stop warping.

Keep the stock system preset available as a baseline before you customize anything. Duplicate it, rename the copy, and make your changes there instead. If a modified profile prints badly, you want the original on hand to compare against rather than guessing at what you changed.
