K1-series hotends have more than one revision. Identify the installed assembly before ordering or following a video.
Creality’s K1C procedure begins by heating, unloading filament and removing the PTFE tube. The printer is then cooled and opened as directed. When the nozzle is loosened hot, support the integrated assembly with the specified wrench and avoid the heater and thermistor wires.
Install the compatible replacement, restore the fan connector and covers, then load filament and check flow. Run self-test and leveling after the toolhead is complete.
Stop for unstable temperature, damaged insulation or plastic leaking above the nozzle. Do not mix old- and new-revision instructions during the same repair.
Before ordering, confirm not just the hotend revision but the nozzle itself — the general guide to what changes beyond a standard 0.4 mm nozzle is worth checking, and since the K1C is often run with abrasive filaments, the comparison of brass and hardened steel nozzles can save a second order. Once the replacement is installed and tested, log it against the printer’s documented service hours in the K1C maintenance schedule.
