Cura profile setup for the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro

Configure Cura for an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro with the exact machine profile, correct dimensions, nozzle and start sequence.

Use the Neptune 4 Pro profile included with a current Cura release or the software package linked by Elegoo. Do not start from a Neptune 4 Max profile and merely shrink the bed.

The official Neptune 4 Pro specifications give a 225 x 225 x 265 mm build volume and a stock 0.4 mm nozzle. The machine can reach 300 °C at the nozzle and 110 °C at the bed, but material presets should stay within the filament maker’s range. Maximum hardware temperature is not a normal print setting.

Check the printer name, build volume, origin and heated-bed options. Keep Elegoo’s verified start and end G-code for the Pro. The start sequence must agree with the firmware’s saved mesh behavior; generic code copied from an older Marlin printer may omit or conflict with it.

Begin with a conservative PLA profile rather than the maximum advertised 500 mm/s toolhead speed. Slice a small cube and inspect Preview for first-layer position, wall count and acceleration changes. Speed is useful only when flow and cooling can support it.

Save the stock profile, then duplicate it for each nozzle or material. Include the nozzle diameter in the profile name. If an update adds a new official Neptune 4 Pro definition, compare start code and machine limits before migrating your tuned material settings.

The profile is ready when a short test reproduces the first layer established during leveling and the printer finishes without skipped steps or unexpected travel.

A verified profile only goes so far — the print quality it produces still depends on choices made inside it, like infill density and pattern, which are worth understanding before tuning anything further. Once the slicer side is dialed in, the filament loading and unloading steps for the Pro’s direct-drive extruder round out a normal print setup.
