The Q2’s automatic bed leveling relies on a loadcell sensor built directly into the hotend, so the nozzle itself does the measuring and the leveling pass comes out zero-offset, with no separate probe offset to calibrate. Under normal use, this runs on its own before every print without any input from you, so what follows only matters when that automatic pass isn’t enough by itself. QIDI documents two specific situations where extra intervention is needed, both covered below.
The first documented issue is interference between the bed and the Z-axis mounts. Home the printer and watch closely as the bed rises, checking whether it touches the Z-axis fixtures on either side rather than rising clear of them. If it does, loosen the side panel first, then the screws holding the bed in place, and shift the bed slightly to the right until it stops catching on the mounts, then tighten everything back down. QIDI has an official video that walks through this adjustment step by step, and the wiki doesn’t specify a torque value for the screws, so the safest approach is to snug them down evenly rather than force them.
The second scenario is a bed that’s severely out of level, further off than the automatic pass is designed to correct on its own. In that case, run the manual bed calibration routine instead of relying on the loadcell pass. The bed lowers automatically first to balance left and right, and from there you adjust four points on the plate by hand. The Q2 comes with three built-in calibration models for this kind of work, and Model 3 in particular is meant for fine-tuning that left-right balance rather than general leveling across the whole plate.
If the bed already sits reasonably flat and neither of these two situations applies, both of these steps can be skipped entirely. The loadcell system is built to handle the normal, small amount of leveling drift that shows up between prints, which is exactly why most Q2 owners will only ever need the automatic pass and never touch either of the manual fixes above.
